Dear Brethren in Christ Jesus our Lord,
May the Peace of God reign in our hearts.
In constant vigilance of global events caused by COVID-19, The Council of Elders in the United States continues to strive to strengthen and secure the safety of our brethren, our communities, and our families. Therefore, we encourage families to gather in their own homes to thank God for His Love and Mercy, to sing hymns, to pray, and to read the Holy Scriptures.
With the suspension of public services in the congregations, we understand the need of our brethren to participate in family worship services to God, in their homes. Romans 12: 1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
In view of the difficulty presented at this time, additional precautions are necessary and no meetings or services among or between the brethren in the homes of family members, or anywhere else, should occur until this situation subsides.
In the meantime, there will be online services provided to the brethren during the days and times listed at this website: http://ccus.org/onlineservices/
The same reverence given to God and the brethren during normal Divine Services, should be expressed during online services, even though the brethren are at home. We remind the brethren that we are in the presence of God and should behave as if we are in the temples in all of our manners and actions.
The first online service will begin on Saturday March 21st, 2020 at 7:00pm Eastern Time.
May the peace of God and the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with us all.
